I am a highly skilled and experienced therapist with a calm and genuine manner, who has 35+ years of experience working with clients who are experiencing challenges in life including mental health issues. As well as being a Registered Psychotherapist I have completed specialist EMDR training at master class level with trauma and dissociation and am an Accredited EMDR Therapist and EMDR Case Consultant in Training. I gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Topics in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (Distinction),  and I trained in Role Theory Clinical Supervision and am a Registered Nurse. 

I currently work in private practice of

9 years and have previously spent 5 years working within New Zealand's only Specialist Anxiety Disorders Service providing evidence based individual and group therapy as well as providing therapy in a Corrections environment. I have worked with clients in primary care in GP surgeries as well as working in both inpatient and community mental health in the UK. I have also delivered education on talking therapies and trauma-informed practice to mental health professionals.

I remain up to date by attending National and International Training and Conferences on Psychotherapy, EMDR, CBT, Dissociation & Trauma, 

I receive regular Clinical Supervision from Senior Registered Psychotherapists for Psychotherapy and EMDR.
